The Interim research report for the FE: Transforming Lives has just been published.
In this interim research report we provide key evidence, drawn from the data, of the transformational power of Further Education (FE). We highlight FE as a critical catalyst for positive changes in learners’ lives, their families and their local and wider community.
Importantly, the research findings clearly illuminate the local, long term and wider benefits of these transformations. This is evidenced, for example, on the positive impact on learners’ health and well-being and challenging intergenerational poverty.
Vitally, teachers are seen to be pivotal in facilitating learners, who have often been marginalised, reclaiming spoilt identities and turning them into ones of hope, aspiration and agency.
