Defining Success in SEND
As part of the the Transformative Teaching and Learning Scholar programme Chantal Brown has been conducting research within her teaching setting at Sandwell College in the West Midlands. She is passionate about education and provision for young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and has been researching matters relating to identifying what constitutes successful outcomes for young people with SEND.
In this video, Mitchell discusses his journey in education at Sandwell College. The initial interview was recorded whilst Mitchell was attending as a student in Foundation Learning, and in it he shares how he was supported to realise the successes he has had throughout his time attending the SEND provision at this FE college in the West Midlands.
Mitchell also provides an exciting update as to what he has achieved since finishing his initial course and what his aspirations are for the future.
